Ichetucknee Springs State Park, Fort White is a fantastic place to go tubing, picnicking, snorkeling, or canoeing. Those who are cave-diving, scuba-certified can dive during the winter months.
Blue Spring State Park, High Springs, is a natural spring popular for tubing, snorkeling, swimming, and diving. During the winter the park is closed because it is a manatee refuge.
Wardlaw-Smith-Goza Mansion, Madison, was used as a hospital during the Battle of Olustee. This Southern mansion is available for weddings and conferences, and may be toured by appointment.
Micanopy Fall Harvist Festival occurs in October and is full of arts and crafts. Micanopy has a historical museum and classic homes that are now bed-and-breakfasts. This was the town where the movie Doc Hollywood was filmed!
Goodwood Museum and Gardens, Tallahassee, was originally a home built in 1840 and is now a museum that has many furnishings from the early twentieth century.
The Brogan Museum, Tallahassee, has educational programs in addition to its usual exhibits.
